The NCAA football season is heating up as teams jockey for conference championships and a spot in the College Football Playoff.

The season is also heating up for those who love college football betting. There are only a few regular-season weeks left until the championship games.

Who do you like this week? Check out these three exciting college football point spreads.

Pitt (-13.5) vs. Virginia

Kenny Pickett and the Panthers got off to a hot start last week.

They showed a prime-time audience what the then most productive offense in the country looks like, scoring 17 points in the first quarter against North Carolina.

However, the offense cooled, and Pitt won the game by limiting UNC and QB Sam Howell’s big plays. When needed the most, Pitt’s D stood tall and held an offense averaging 37.3 points per game to 23.

Virginia comes into this game with a high-powered offense hampered by injuries. Starting quarterback Brennan Armstrong didn’t dress last week against Notre Dame, and his status for this week is unknown.

The Cavaliers may be without senior RB Wayne Taulapapa, too. He also sat out last week’s Notre Dame game after suffering his second concussion of the season in the October 30th BYU game.

A Pitt win clinches the ACC Coastal crown. If Brennan remains out, I love Pitt to cruise to an ATS win.

West Virginia (-2.5) vs. Texas

Texas lost to Kansas at home last week, giving Kansas its first victory in Austin in school history.

Is it possible that Steve Sarkisian is already on the college football hot seat this early in his tenure? Probably not, but he will upset a lot of Longhorn faithful if they drop the next game to the Mountaineers.

WVU is a dangerous team for Texas. The Longhorns struggle defensively, allowing an average of 32.5 points per game. They also give up an average of 437 yards per game.

While Jarret Doege’s play this year is uneven, he’s heating up just enough to exploit the weak Texas defense on his home turf.

I expect that a frustrated Longhorns team will drop their second game in a row as WVU wins a close one in a crucial Week 12 NCAA football game.

Boston College (-2.5) vs. Florida State

College football betting enthusiasts must take note that Phil Jurkovec is back under center for Boston College. His return changes everything for the Eagles.

In his surprise return last week, the Notre Dame transfer threw for 310 yards and two touchdowns.

He also ran for 71 yards and added three more touchdowns with his feet against Georgia Tech.

The Seminoles come into this game feeling good after beating an athletic Miami Hurricanes team. The FSU defense, however, gives up an average of 243.2 passing yards per game.

At first glance, the season averages favor FSU.

However, Jurkovec’s return makes BC a hazardous team. I expect the BC offense to explode in this spot as the senior quarterback only has a few opportunities to improve his NFL draft position.

The BC Eagles will fly this Saturday to an easy cover.
