The Los Angeles Rams enter the postseason, having won five of their final six games. After a 12-5 regular season, they kick off their playoff campaign Monday night. They’re facing a familiar foe: the Arizona Cardinals.

The LA Rams (+1100) currently have the sixth-best NFL Super Bowl odds.

Are the Rams a good football betting option? Can they win it all? Here is a look at three factors that could contribute to a Rams title run.

Matthew Stafford

The Rams enter the NFL playoffs with a weapon they have lacked in years past: a dynamic passer. Matthew Stafford is coming off an impressive inaugural season in L.A. He finished third in passing yards (4,886) and second in touchdown passes (41).

The Rams have the fifth-ranked passing attack, averaging 273.1 yards per game. L.A. relies on chunk yardage pass plays to move the ball and has the third-most yards per pass attempt (8.1).

Stafford will be a crucial factor if the Rams want to beat top NFC teams like the Green Bay Packers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, or Dallas Cowboys. He was acquired in a blockbuster trade last summer specifically for this moment.

Is it his time to shine?

Top Receiving Threats

Of course, Stafford is not the only weapon in the passing game. The Rams have several receiving threats that they have relied on all season. This trend is likely to continue in the playoffs.

Cooper Kupp is coming off one of the greatest wide receiver seasons of all time. Kupp led the league in catches (145), receiving yards (1,947), and touchdowns (16). He has over 90 receiving yards in 16 out of 17 games.

Yet, Kupp isn’t the only threat. Odell Beckham Jr has emerged as a #2 option for Stafford, securing five touchdowns over the season’s final seven weeks. He is a perpetual deep threat that can still change a game on any play.

If the Rams have Super Bowl LVI aspirations, then the burden will undoubtedly be on their best offensive playmakers to step up and deliver once again.

The Defensive Line

The Rams will need a significant effort from their front seven if they want to go on a run in the playoffs. The Rams have the third-most sacks in the NFL (50) and are sixth in rushing yards allowed (103.2 per game). A ferocious pass rush and strong run defense are critical ingredients to a 2022 Super Bowl run.

The Los Angeles front seven is full of big names, including premier pass rushers Aaron Donald, Von Miller, and Leonard Floyd. This defensive unit can take over a game and wreck an opposing team’s game plan.

Los Angeles Rams: Super Bowl Odds

Getting through this year’s NFC field will be a daunting task. With that said, this Los Angeles Rams team has the talent to make a run. A big effort from the quarterback, receivers, and defensive front seven will go a long way toward playoff success.

When looking at NFL betting options this postseason, keep the Rams in mind as Super Bowl contenders.
