Eighteen teams were ahead of the Arizona Cardinals in Super Bowl betting (+4000) when odds were posted at the BetMGM sportsbook in January. Only four teams are ahead of the Cardinals (+1200) entering Week 5.
With a win over the San Francisco 49ers in Week 5, the Cardinals have their first 5-0 start since 1974, 14 years before the franchise moved from St. Louis to Arizona and 20 years before they were even called the Arizona Cardinals. The 1974 team lost four of their final nine games en route to a 10-4 regular season and loss in the divisional round of the playoffs.
Kyler Murray and the 2021 team can avoid a similar letdown and win the franchise’s first championship since 1947 and first-ever Super Bowl, BetMGM bettors are predicting. As of Tuesday, Oct. 12, five days ahead of the Cardinals’ road game against the Cleveland Browns – for which they’re a 3-point underdog – 7.1 percent of all Super Bowl LVI tickets are on the Cardinals, accounting for 7.4 percent of the total Super Bowl handle.
