The Arizona Cardinals look like the team to beat in the NFC West at 8-1. They’ll likely get stiff competition from the 7-2 Rams down the stretch, but it’s the Cardinals division to lose for the time being.

Quarterback Kyler Murray has been outstanding and is right up there in the MVP conversation at +500 in the NFL odds. The Cardinals have shown resiliency as well. They’ve been hampered by injuries all season long but keep finding ways to win.

Losing J.J. Watt was a significant blow, but the team is still loaded with talent on defense with the likes of linebackers Chandler Jones and Markus Golden (9 sacks) and standout defensive backs Budda Baker and Byron Murphy (3 INTs). They’ve been stingy on third down as well, allowing a 2nd best 31.7% conversion rate.

The Cardinals host the struggling Carolina Panthers this week, which may be without starting quarterback Sam Darnold. Darnold is day-to-day after having an MRI on his right shoulder on Monday.
