Just like many American golfing pros, Im got his first taste of golf early in life. He began playing when he was just four years old.
He went professional in 2015, and began his career in the Asian professional golf scene. He played in a number of competitions, including the Japan Golf Tour, Mynavi ABC Championship, and Korean Tour.
Sungjae made the leap into the US scene in 2018 with the Korn Ferry Tour, and joined the PGA Tour in 2019. He was named PGA Tour Rookie of the Year in the same year.
Hes managed one PGA Tour win at The Honda Classic, as well as two Korn Ferry Tour wins. He has yet to win a major championship.
