With the playoff races heating up, it’s time to check out the NFL money lines. Are you asking yourself, “What is a money line bet in NFL betting?” Money line betting means picking which team will win outright, and it usually has more extreme odds than you’d get if you bet on the spread.
In the article below, I’ll be taking a look at the NFL betting lines for three games in which the money line odds might have some value:
- Los Angeles Chargers at Cincinnati Bengals (-160)
- Baltimore Ravens at Pittsburgh Steelers (+135)
- Denver Broncos (+375) at Kansas City Chiefs
Read on to find out why these games might offer some value for money line bettors.
Los Angeles Chargers at Cincinnati Bengals (-160)
When looking at NFL Week 13 money lines, the Chargers vs Bengals game jumps off the page. The Bengals destroyed Pittsburgh in Week 12, rushing for 198 yards en route to a 31-point win. Cincinnati was only favored by four points in this game, perhaps because the Steelers played the Chargers close in Week 11.
The Chargers surrendered 37 points to Pittsburgh at home, and now Los Angeles has to travel to Cincinnati to play outdoors in December. I don’t think there’s any way the Chargers defense contains Joe Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase, and Joe Mixon. So, I expect Cincinnati to score early and score often.
Baltimore Ravens at Pittsburgh Steelers (+165)
Under Mike Tomlin, the Pittsburgh Steelers are 57-28-1 straight up in division games. As home favorites, the Steelers are 72-27-1 straight up under Tomlin.
The Steelers got down early against the explosive Bengals offense and didn’t have a chance to get their run game going. They shouldn’t have that problem against a Ravens team that has scored 16 or fewer points in three straight games. Pittsburgh could be getting Joe Haden back as well, which would make this an even safer play.
Denver Broncos (+375) at Kansas City Chiefs
This last money line bet is a long shot, but I think the NFL world has quickly forgotten that the Chiefs have struggled for much of the season. Denver head coach Vic Fangio is one of the best defensive minds in the NFL.
The Broncos rank third in the NFL in points allowed and eighth in passing yards allowed. Just three weeks ago, the Chiefs put up just 13 points against the Packers. Kansas City has scored 20 points or less in five of their last seven games.
Kansas City is always dangerous, but teams have figured out how to contain this offense. The Broncos have the personnel and coach to stifle this Chiefs offense.
Analyzing the NFL Money Lines for Week 13
In this article, two of the bets on NFL money lines are relatively safe bets on the favorite, but the last one could pay out big if it hits.
All three games should be exciting, as they all have significant playoff implications. Are you interested in seeing more online sports betting lines? You can check out all the odds at BetMGM’s NFL betting page. Sign up for an account today.
