BetMGM BetDefense: 1st Quarter Football Injury Protection

Did your player get injured in the first quarter and not return? BetDefense has your back.

At BetMGM, you’re protected against first-quarter injuries during pro football games. With BetDefense, your stake can be refunded on player prop bets.

How It Works

1. Log in to your BetMGM account
2. Place an eligible player prop bet.
3. If your player leaves due to injury in the first quarter and is officially ruled out for the game, BetDefense steps in.

BetDefense is not eligible in all BetMGM states and provinces. Please log in to check your eligibility.

For straight bets, the wager is canceled and stake is returned within 72 hours of settlement of the market.

For parlays and Same Game Parlay (SGPs), the affected leg is canceled. The remaining legs of the parlay or SGP are recalculated.

To qualify for BetDefense:

• Wager must be accepted before the end of the 1st quarter.
• Player must leave due to injury during the 1st quarter.
• Player must be officially ruled out and not return.
•  If the player returns to the game, BetDefense does not apply.

BetDefense only applies to eligible player props that are conditioned upon positive performance by the player (e.g., Player X Over 250 Passing Yards). “Under” or “Fewer” wagers will be settled as winning wagers. “Weekly Special” wagers are ineligible.

Eligible Wager Types

Straight Bets

Eligible player prop wagers tied to a player’s positive performance, including:

• Passing Yards Over
• Rushing Yards Over
• Receiving Yards Over
• Similar player performance markets

Ineligible Wagers

Under/Fewer Markets

• “Under” selections are not eligible.

These wagers will be settled normally.

Weekly Specials

Weekly special wagers are excluded.

Settled Outcomes

If a wager has already been determined before the player exits, it will settle normally.

Example: A player scores a touchdown and the market is already settled as a winner before the injury occurs.

Profit Boosts & Bonus Bets

If an eligible BetDefense wager was placed using:

• Profit Boosts
• Bonus Bets

The affected wager will be canceled, and the original promotional stake returned.
