BetMGM Brings Retail Sports Betting to South Dakota

BetMGM is now taking bets in the state of South Dakota.

BetMGM retail sports betting capabilities are now open at Liv Hospitality’s Tin Lizzie Gaming Resort and Cadillac Jack’s in Deadwood, South Dakota. Tin Lizzie Gaming Resort features a brand new sportsbook venue, retail betting windows, big-screen TVs, and betting kiosks around the property.

Cadillac Jack’s has multiple betting kiosks and writers stations for guests preferring to place over-the-counter wagers.

Bettors flocked in to place the first historic wagers in the state. The first six wagers taken by BetMGM were:

• Pittsburgh Steelers to win Super Bowl LVI
• Colorado Avalanche to win the 2021-22 Stanley Cup 
• Los Angeles Dodgers vs. the St. Louis Cardinals (Sept. 9) 
• Army Black Knights vs. Western Kentucky Hilltoppers (Sept. 11)
• Dallas Cowboys vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Sept. 9) 
• Denver Broncos to win Super Bowl LVI
