They will be experienced on defense, but the question is what the offense looks like as sophomore quarterback D.J. Uiagalelei, a five-star recruit, takes the reins.

With one of the best QBs in college football Sam Howell leading the charge, is the betting gap between Clemson and UNC of -900 to +700 too big?

What to know: Right on the heels of UNC is Miami. The Hurricanes finished 8-3 overall and 7-2 in the ACC last year. After scoring 34 points per game, Miami has the most returning offensive production in the FBS with 95 percent.

What to know: There’s a considerable drop in betting odds from Miami to NC State. The Wolfpack have to play all three teams ranked above them, two of which are at home. They will be one of the more experienced teams in the ACC with about 18 returning starters.

What to know: Six of the Cardinals’ eight conference opponents are ranked below them, so they have a great shot to improve from last year’s 3-7 ACC record. Louisville will have one of the better offenses in the conference, but an inexperienced defense is a concern.

What to know: To put it simply, there’s a lot to fix after going 1-10 in 2020. The good news is there is enough production coming back (80 percent overall, 83 percent offense, 76 percent defense) for Syracuse to improve and win more than one game.
