Newly-minted WBO heavyweight boxing world champion Fabio Wardley defends his title against former WBA and IBF heavyweight world champion Daniel Dubois on Saturday inside Co-op Live Arena in Manchester.

Because of his perfect pro record, Wardley is going to be the betting favorite with -110 boxing odds. On the other hand, Dubois, will be the betting underdog with +100 odds. A draw result has odds of +1600.

Fabio Wardley vs. Daniel Dubois: Prediction

My prediction is a TKO/KO victory for Dubois over Wardley because the latter is prone to counterpunches and is leaving himself open by putting down his hands every after exchange. Dubois can use this to fire a powerful right-hand punch.

Both are heavy punchers, but I think Dubois will have the better chance of landing a clean shot, especially when he’s on the back foot. He’s very good at finding the best angle to throw his counters and his opponentes are often caught off guard.

Furthermore, Dubois has the experience of fighting higher-level boxers in his career than Wardley. Not to say that Wardley hasn’t fought elite opponents, but Dubois has fought more former and current world champions.

Fabio Wardley’s Recent Fight Results

Wardley was a former WBO interim boxing world heavyweight champion before he was elevated as the regular champion after Oleksandr Usyk was stripped of the belt. His last five victories were against David Adeleye, Frazer Clarke (twice), Justis Huni, and Joseph Parker.

Daniel Dubois’ Recent Fight Results

Dubois was a former heavyweight boxing world champion, but he has only won three of his last five fights. His wins were against Jarrell Miller, Filip Hrgovic, and Anthony Joshua, while his two losses were courtesy of Usyk.
