The middleweight match between former Olympic bronze medalist Gleb Bakshi and Mexican rising star Juan Jose Rodriguez Duran will be part of the boxing event on Jan. 10 at Rudolf Weber-Arena in Oberhausen, Germany.

Although he has fewer pro fights, his stacked amateur credentials and perfect pro record have made Bakshi the overwhelming favorite with -1000 boxing odds. Meanwhile, Duran will be the considerable underdog with +550 odds. A draw result for this match has odds of +2000.

Gleb Bakshi vs. Juan Jose Rodriguez Duran: Prediction

My prediction is a unanimous decision win for Bakshi against Duran because he’s much quicker and more technical in his approach. This speed and fundamental style is a perfect counter to the pace and brawler style of Duran.

Because of Bakshi’s lengthy experience in the amateur setting, where boxers need to be precise and disciplined enough not to engage in a firefight. Additionally, he has a very rapid left hook that catches his opponents off guard.

I won’t be surprised if there’s a knockdown during the match, but expect that it’ll go the distance due to the durability and toughness of Duran, who already has 22 pro fights at just 28 years old.

Gleb Bakshi’s Recent Fight Results

Bakshi was a former Olympic bronze medalist before he transitioned to the pro ranks in July 2022. He won all his pro fights and defeated Manuk Dilanyan, Viktar Murashkin, Alfonso Blanco, Emiliano Exequiel Pucheta, Juan Manuel Taborda, and Gino Natalio Godoy.

Juan Jose Rodriguez Duran’s Recent Fight Results

Duran is a young Mexican contender with an impressive record of 21 wins and one loss. In his last five fights, he recorded wins over Nery Saguilan, Juan Carlos Pacheco, Joel Najera Salas, and Alberto Pacheco Rodriguez, but lost to Bikel Jkitou.
