Richardson Hitchins will put his IBF super lightweight title on the line for the second time, as he faces Oscar Duarte on Feb. 21 as part of the boxing event inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

As the undefeated boxing world champion, Hitchins will be the considerable betting favorite heading into the bout with -455 boxing odds. Duarte, on the other hand, is going to be the betting underdog with +350 odds. A draw result has odds of +1800.

Richardson Hitchins vs. Oscar Duarte: Prediction

I predict a unanimous decision victory for Hitchins over Duarte because he’s a volume jabber. This will allow him to keep Duarte at a safe distance and prevent this fight from being contested in a close range where the challenger shines.

Aside from the stiff jabs from Hitchins that will dictate the pace of the fight, the defending champion is also a notorious body puncher and can target the solar plexus of Duarte to slow him down.

If this happens, Duarte will be off his rhythm and won’t be able to fire his usual power combinations because he’ll be worried about the counterpunch to the body that will swing back his way.

Richardson Hitchins’ Recent Fight Results

Hitchins is the reigning IBF super lightweight champion and still undefeated in his pro career. His last five victories were against John Bauza-Fernandez, Jose Zepeda, Gustavo Daniel Lemos, Liam Paro, and, most recently, George Kambosos Jr.

Oscar Duarte’s Recent Fight Results

Duarte was the former NABF lightweight champion. In his last five pro fights, he recorded four wins against Joseph Diaz, Botirzhon Akhmedov, Miguel Madueno, and Kenneth Sims Jr., while his lone loss during this period was to Ryan Garcia.
