With power and counterpunching skills of Thurman, I predict a TKO/KO victory for him over Fundora. At 37, Thurman still possesses the movement, speed, and explosiveness to set up a massive counterpunch against Fundora, especially when he throws those lengthy jabs.
This may be the first time Thurman has to deal with a massive height-and-reach disadvantage, but his quickness and explosiveness can nullify it. I think Thurman will invest early in Fundora’s body with stiff jabs and hooks because they’re the best punches available.
When Fundora feels the sting of Thurman’s punches to his body, he’ll eventually put down his guard and defend. This opens the opportunity for Thurman to go for his chin with his signature right-hand punch, swing for the fences, and potentially get the stoppage win.
