Kyler Murray’s 14-yard touchdown pass to A.J. Green extended the Arizona Cardinals’ lead to 23 points, 37-14, over the Cleveland Browns and cashed over tickets (48.5) for some BetMGM customers. It also set the stage for one King of the Weekend entrant to win $51,000.
Manny of Lafayette, Colo., entered BetMGM’s King of the Weekend for Week 5 by predicting the six highest-scoring teams, in order, from a pool of five games:
- Cincinnati Bengals at Detroit Lions
- Los Angeles Chargers at Baltimore Ravens
- Cleveland Browns at Arizona Cardinals
- Las Vegas Raiders at Denver Broncos
- Seattle Seahawks at Pittsburgh Steelers
Manny submitted the following predictions prior to the 1 p.m. ET kickoffs for the Bengals-Lions and Chargers-Ravens:
Entrants win $50,000 in cash if they correctly predict the six teams in order and are eligible for Free Bets (up to $250) if they miss one or multiple teams. The highest score each week, regardless if there’s a winner, is also awarded $1,000 in cash.
The Murray-to-Green touchdown gave the Cardinals 37 points, the highest team total of the early- and late-afternoon games. The Bengals, Ravens, and Raiders were tied for the second-most points (34 points apiece), followed by the Broncos for fifth-most (24). If the Steelers defeated or tied the Seahawks on Sunday Night Football while scoring between 14 – the total of the current sixth-place team, the Browns – and 24 points, Manny would win $51,000.
The Steelers won, 23-20, in overtime after T.J. Watt’s forced fumble led to Chris Boswell’s game-winning 37-yard field goal. Three days later, Manny stood on the field at Empower Field in disbelief and accepted the grand prize as the third King of the Weekend this season.
