Kansas City entered its week 17 game in Cincinnati on an eight-game winning streak. The Chiefs, once left for dead, needed a win over the Bengals to stay on pace for the AFC’s No. 1 seed.

But instead of a convincing road win over a playoff-bound opponent, Kansas City’s offense went cold after halftime, and it lost for the first time since October. The final score: Bengals 34, Chiefs 31. Ja’Marr Chase posted a preposterous 266 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

The NFL betting community fixated on a hot Chiefs team in December. But with week 18 around the corner and NFL playoff odds coming into focus, perhaps it’s the unstoppable Bengals offense that deserves our attention.

On Monday morning’s episode of The Daily Tip, Michael Jenkins and Nick Ashooh play a game of Love It or Fade It with producer Shea and discuss whether or not the AFC North champion Cincinnati Bengals are a legitimate threat to make the Super Bowl.

You can listen to The Daily Tip live on Audacy radio stations from 6-9 a.m. ET on weekdays, and check out the show as a podcast on Apple Podcasts and elsewhere.
