Georgia Tech vs. Boston College: College Baseball Odds & Series Preview

No. 3 Georgia Tech can clinch an outright ACC baseball title with a series win at No. 23 Boston College this weekend. The Yellow Jackets are big favorites in Thursday night’s Game 1.

Boston College won’t have the firepower to outgun Georgia Tech – virtually no one does this year – but the Eagles do have a rotation full of lefties. The expectation is that southpaw AJ Colarusso will start Thursday’s game, with other lefties to follow on Friday and Saturday.

Georgia Tech hits .359 as a team and has some players north of .400. Jarren Advincula leads the ACC with a .438 average. 

BC will need to use its lefty matchups and pitcher’s ballpark to tamp down on Tech’s massive offense, then hope it’s got the bats to nose ahead.

For what it’s worth, Boston College is 10-2 in home conference games, while Georgia Tech is 8-4 in away conference games. So there could ultimately be some value in targeting the big moneyline numbers available with the Eagles in this series.
