The SEC has had a rough year in the never-ending conference wars. But it’s finally the spring NCAA season, when the American South routinely dominates national competition in the most prominent spring sports: baseball and softball.

This year, the SEC is in the midst of another excellent baseball season, with several talented teams fighting through a loaded conference of contenders.

The conference picture could change at any moment, with potential losing streaks around every corner. But for now, at least, these are the top teams expected to win the SEC.

Most Likely Team to Win the 2026 SEC Baseball Regular Season Championship

According to BetMGM’s college baseball odds, Georgia is the most likely team to win the 2026 SEC baseball regular-season championship.

As of April 16, Georgia has a 1.5-game conference lead on Texas (+225) and Texas A&M (+650) – two top challengers in this year’s field. Florida (+1000) is the only other team shorter than 25-to-1.

Texas is the preferred team in the College World Series odds market, suggesting a scenario where Georgia wins the SEC but the Longhorns find more success in the postseason.
