Sam Hartman connected with Taylor Morin on a 39-yard touchdown to cap a 75-yard drive on Wake Forest’s opening possession against Virginia in Week 4. The Demon Deacons led 7-0 two minutes and 41 seconds into a game that began with a total of 71 points, the fourth game with a total of at least 70 points in college football betting through the first four weeks of the season.

Another touchdown wasn’t scored in the game until midway through the second quarter as Virginia and Wake Forest, despite combining for 979 yards of total offense, didn’t sniff 71 points in the Demon Deacons’ 37-17 win.

It was one of 25 regular-season games across the FBS this season with a total of at least 70 points. The under hit in 19 of those 25 games, a dramatic trend reversal after the under went 15-20-1 in 2020.
