If the college football betting odds on BetMGM go chalk, we will see Alabama and Clemson play in the national championship game on Jan. 10, 2022. If the betting action is accurate, it will be Alabama versus Georgia.

Alabama is the favorite to win the national title at +250 odds. Clemson follows at +350, Ohio State is +500, Oklahoma is +700, and Georgia is +800.

Bettors like the Crimson Tide’s chances. Alabama has 23.5 percent of the ticket share and 25 percent of the total handle share on the BetMGM sportsbook. The Crimson Tide opened at +300 before moving to +250.

Interestingly, the second most popular team is Georgia with 9.4 percent of the ticket share and 22.6 percent of the handle share. Clemson, the No. 2 favorite to win the title according to the odds, has 5.4 percent of the tickets and 4.4 percent of the handle, behind Alabama, Georgia, Oklahoma, Ohio State, and Iowa State.

People love a dark horse team when it comes to college football betting.

A popular dark horse this season appears to be Iowa State. The Cyclones have the ninth-best odds to win the national title at +4000, but they have the fifth-highest ticket percentage at 5.5 percent.

Another dark horse bettors like is Michigan. The Wolverines have the 14th-best odds to win the national title at +5000, but they are tied with Clemson for the sixth-highest ticket percentage at 5.4 percent.
