Another new era of Miami football will be led by Mario Cristobal, who brings high expectations – Miami has the second-highest win total and ACC Championship odds in college football betting – to Coral Gables after four years at Oregon.
The offense will look different with former Michigan Wolverines offensive coordinator and 2021 Broyles Award winner Josh Gattis leading the way. Tyler Van Dyke is an emerging star at the quarterback position after throwing for at least 300 yards and three touchdowns in each of his last six games.

The Hurricanes return 14 starters and have a manageable schedule. Here’s a look at Miami’s schedule with dates, times, opponents, and analysis:
Week 1 – vs. Bethune-Cookman Wildcats
Date: September 3
Time: 3:30 p.m. ET
Miami is 5-0 in this matchup, with an average winning margin of nearly 40 points. The Bethune-Cookman Wildcats finished just 2-9 a year ago.
Week 2 – vs. Southern Miss Golden Eagles
Date: September 10
Time: 12:00 p.m. ET
This will mark the first-ever meeting between these two programs. The Southern Miss Golden Eagles finished just 3-9 a year ago but enter Year 2 under Will Hall with 17 returning starters.
Week 3 – at Texas A&M Aggies
Date: September 17
Time: 9:00 p.m. ET
This is the Hurricanes’ most difficult non-conference matchup by far. Miami has won two of the three previous meetings, with the most recent occurrence in 2008.
Week 4 – vs. Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders
Date: September 24
Time: TBD
Surprisingly, Miami has lost both of the prior meetings. It makes a bit more sense when you consider the last time they played was in 1932.
Week 5 – BYE
Week 6 – vs. North Carolina Tar Heels
Date: October 8
Time: TBD
Miami has lost three straight in this matchup. Last year’s game saw the North Carolina Tar Heels narrowly secure a home victory in a 45-42 shootout.
Week 7 – at Virginia Tech Hokies
Date: October 15
Time: TBD
Blacksburg isn’t an easy place to play, but the Hurricanes have come away victorious in three of their last four trips. It looks like a rebuilding year for the Virginia Tech Hokies in Year 1 under Brent Pry.
Week 8 – vs. Duke Blue Devils
Date: October 22
Time: TBD
The Hurricanes have won two of the last three meetings and are 7-1 in the previous eight meetings at home.
Week 9 – at Virginia Cavaliers
Date: October 29
Time: TBD
Miami has won five of the last seven meetings. The Virginia Cavaliers must replace its entire offensive line in Year 1 under Tony Elliot, but quarterback Brennan Armstrong returns with a loaded receiving corps.
Week 10 – vs. Florida State Seminoles
Date: November 5
Time: TBD
The Hurricanes have won four of the last five meetings.
Week 11 – at Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets
Date: November 12
Time: TBD
This could be considered a look-ahead spot as it’s the first of back-to-back road games with the Clemson Tigers on deck. Miami has won nine of the last 12 meetings, while Georgia Tech has a potential coach on the college football hot seat, Geoff Collins.
Week 12 – at Clemson Tigers
Date: November 19
Time: TBD
A matchup that could define the Hurricanes’ season comes on November 19 against the Clemson Tigers. It’s a relatively soft schedule other than Texas A&M in mid-September and a challenging final two games to end the year.
Week 13 – vs. Pittsburgh Panthers
Date: November 25
Time: TBD
Miami has dominated this series, winning 14 of the last 16 meetings.
