1. Kent State Golden Flashes vs. Fresno State Bulldogs (Moneyline: Fresno State -5000)
The Fresno State Bulldogs are taking no prisoners en route to a perfect start to their season. Fresno State has knocked off two Power 5 schools, including Saturday’s shutout of the host Arizona State Sun Devils. No wonder they top the moneyline chart against the lowly Kent State Golden Flashes.
2. Rutgers Scarlet Knights vs. Michigan Wolverines (Moneyline: Michigan -3335)
Defense has become synonymous with the Michigan Wolverines under Jim Harbaugh. After three games without him, Harbaugh can return to the sidelines just in time for Big Ten action. The Wolverines kick off conference play with a home game against a surprising 3-0 Rutgers Scarlet Knights squad.
3. Miami (FL) Hurricanes vs. Temple Owls (Moneyline: Miami (FL) -2500)
A 3-0 start to the season has revived dormant championship expectations for the Miami (FL) Hurricanes. They enter Week 4 as the chalkiest road favorite on the board as they travel to Philadelphia for a date with the overmatched Temple Owls.
4. California Golden Bears vs. Washington Huskies (Moneyline: Washington -1665)
Entering Week 4, eight Pac-12 teams are ranked in the top 25. Among those are the eighth-ranked Washington Huskies, who host the California Golden Bears on Saturday.
5. Western Michigan Broncos vs. Toledo Rockets (Moneyline: Toldeo -1430)
The Toledo Rockets ride a two-game winning streak into MAC play, where the Western Michigan Broncos are waiting. Of course, Toledo’s season could be off to a perfect start if not for a last-second field goal from the Illinois Fighting Illini in the season opener. Bettors can’t get enough of the Rockets, installing them as prohibitive -1430 favorites.
6. (Tie) Colorado Buffaloes vs. Oregon Ducks (Moneyline: Oregon -1250)
This season has been a rousing success for Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes. Colorado is already within one win of exceeding their preseason total of 3.5. They’ll face their stiffest challenge of the season yet, invading Autzen Stadium for a clash with Bo Nix and the tenth-ranked Oregon Ducks.
6. (Tie) UTSA Roadrunners vs. Tennessee Volunteers (Moneyline: Tennessee -1250)
SEC teams always seem to steamroll non-conference opponents. That advantage is even more pronounced as the Tennessee Volunteers are home for Saturday’s battle against the 1-2 UTSA Roadrunners. If UTSA couldn’t handle Army, what chance do they have against the Vols?
8. Louisiana Tech Bulldogs vs. Nebraska Cornhuskers (Moneyline: Nebraska -1000)
It’s almost like the Nebraska Cornhuskers are set up for failure week after week. They head into Week 4’s contest against the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs as substantive -1000 chalk. However, Nebraska has only eight wins over the last three seasons, with a dismal 7-6 record straight up as the favorite.
9. (Tie) Arkansas Razorbacks vs. LSU Tigers (Moneyline: LSU -910)
It’s still early in the season, but an opening week loss could be what keeps the LSU Tigers out of the CFP. They’ll have to make the most of their conference schedule, starting with a Week 4 showdown with the Arkansas Razorbacks. Arkansas gave LSU everything they could handle in a tightly contested 13-10 Tigers win last year.
9. (Tie) Nevada Wolf Pack vs. Texas State Bobcats (Moneyline: Texas State -910)
It’s that time of year when we have to acknowledge some teams don’t have it. After a demoralizing 0-3 start, the Nevada Wolf Pack fall into this category. That’s good news for the Texas State Bobcats, who want to improve to 3-1 with a win.
