Ben Arbuckle is the offensive coordinator at Oklahoma.
Arbuckle came over from Washington State for the 2025 season. He’s considered one of the bright young minds in college football and is expected to make a big impact at Oklahoma.
Oklahoma transfer quarterback John Mateer, who’s viable in BetMGM’s Heisman Trophy odds market, followed Arbuckle to Norman. The pair are expected to have a big year.
Arbuckle’s resume is quite short. The young OC, who will turn 30 this season, had previous OC stints at Western Kentucky (2022) and the aforementioned Washington State (2023-24).
Oklahoma started the 2024 season with Seth Littrell working with Joe Jon Finley as a co-coordinator. Littrell was fired after seven games because the Sooners’ offense was so bad.
Finley is working strictly as a tight ends coach this year, leaving the full OC role for Arbuckle.
Prior to Littrell’s arrival, Jeff Lebby was the offensive coordinator at Oklahoma from 2022-23. Before that, Cale Gundy and Bill Bedenbaugh held the job together from 2016-20.
