Georgia baseball is hitting the road for a key SEC series at the end of this week. The Bulldogs will play Thursday through Saturday in Fayetteville against a Razorbacks program that is no stranger to high-stakes conference homestands.
For now, Georgia remains the odds-on favorite to win the SEC’s regular-season championship. But Georgia’s regular season is likely to hinge on its performance over these next 10 days, when the Bulldogs must navigate back-to-back-to-back road series against Arkansas, rival Georgia Tech, and Ole Miss.

Georgia vs. Arkansas: Series Preview
This series may come down to Game 1, when Arkansas lefty Hunter Dietz will take the mound against a Georgia lineup that leads the conference in both batting average and home runs.
If Georgia chases Dietz from the game early, that will put pressure on Arkansas’ arms for the remainder of the three-day series – a particularly bad scenario versus Georgia’s bats. Arkansas is 3-0 in SEC play when Dietz starts and lasts at least six innings, but 0-2 when he doesn’t.
On their end, the Bulldogs will be looking to find a little more stability from their own pitchers. Georgia is 2-2 in its last four, which includes a home series loss to Florida at Foley Field. (It also beat ETSU 12-10 on Tuesday afternoon.)
The theme in those games was inconsistent pitching – the Gators and Bucs averaged eight runs per game against Georgia.
