The Green Bay Packers head back to Lambeau Field in Week 12 to take on Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams. After falling to Minnesota last week, the Packers still hold the lead in their division but fell out of first place in the NFC for home-field advantage.
NFL betting lines currently have the Packers as one-point favorites, but can Green Bay put it all together and take care of business Sunday? Continue reading to find out why the Packers might be in a good spot to bounce back.
Is the Packers Offense Back to Full Strength?
After ripping off seven straight wins following the season-opening loss to New Orleans, Green Bay (8-3) has gone 1-2 in their past three games. One major contributing factor to their recent struggle has been the availability of their offensive playmakers.
Specifically, the Packers haven’t played a full game with Aaron Rodgers, Davante Adams, and Aaron Jones all on the field since Week 7. In games without one of the talented trio since Week 1, the Packers offense is scoring nearly four fewer points per game.
While Rodgers and Adams appear back to health, the status of Aaron Jones is still up in the air for this Sunday. The talented Packers running back has been dealing with an MCL sprain that kept him out of last week’s game. Jones’ status will be crucial for betting lines this week.
Packers Defense vs. Rams Offense
Following a shutout win over the Seattle Seahawks in Week 10, Green Bay lost to a fiery Minnesota offense in Week 11. After only allowing 34 points over their three previous games, the Packers’ defense conceded the same amount to the Vikings Sunday.
The Rams (7-3) come to Lambeau off of a Week 11 bye with one of the most dangerous offenses in the NFL. Breakout wide receiver Cooper Kupp leads the league in receiving with 1,141 yards and has enjoyed the leadership quarterback Matthew Stafford has brought to the team.
Luckily for the Packers, despite facing one of the league’s most prolific offensive attacks, the Rams have slowed down the past two weeks. After scoring over 20 points in each of the first eight games this season, Los Angeles only accounted for 26 total points in Weeks 9 and 10 going into their bye week.
Home Field Advantage
This season, away from Lambeau Field, the Packers are 4-3 and average just under 21 points per game. At home, however, Green Bay is 4-0 and puts up nearly 26 points per game.
With this Week 12 matchup in Green Bay, I expect a big bounce-back win for the Packers. Further, Green Bay hasn’t lost consecutive games since December 2018, nearly three years ago.
Los Angeles Rams vs. Green Bay Packers
With the number one seed potentially up for grabs this weekend, I trust Aaron Rodgers, Davante Adams, and the Green Bay Packers to win this crucial NFC showdown.
