Jesus Alejandro Ramos Jr. puts his WBC interim world title on the line for the second time as he takes on undefeated challenger Meiirim Nursultanov in the co-main event of Saturday’s boxing card at Pechanga Arena in San Diego.
Even though he has one loss in his pro career, Ramos Jr. still enters the title fight as the heavy betting favorite with -455 boxing odds, while Nursultanov, who hasn’t dropped a pro fight, is going to be the considerable betting underdog with +350 odds. A draw result has odds of +1600.

Jesus Alejandro Ramos Jr. vs. Meiirim Nursultanov: Prediction
My prediction is a decsion win for Ramor Jr. over Nursultanov, as he’s the more aggressive fighter who thrives by throwing power punches. Ramos Jr.’s jabs will also be key in throwing off Nurusltanov off in his timing.
This is important because Nursultanov will be coming off a long layoff and his ring rust will be apparent. Keeping him off timing and rhythm will be a big blow to his technical and measured approach, thus, forcing him to engage.
I expect Ramos Jr. to take the fight against Nursultanov and constantly pressure him. It will not only make him uncomfortable for most of the bout, but also back him up off the ropes, which isn’t an ideal look from the judges.
