The Buffalo Bills haven’t been to the Super Bowl since 1994, but Josh Allen could be the one to take the Bills back to the big game. Allen shined last week against the New England Patriots, winning 47-17 without throwing an interception or punting the ball.

The NFL betting odds from BetMGM have the Bills at +550 to win the Super Bowl, and this week, they travel to Arrowhead Stadium to take on the Kansas City Chiefs. Can Allen lead the Bills to Super Bowl LVI? He must first take care of business against the Chiefs.

Read on to learn more about the Bills’ chances.

Josh Allen Looked Unbeatable Against the Patriots

Allen eviscerated Bill Belichick’s defense last Saturday, throwing for 308 yards and five touchdowns while completing 84 percent of his passes. The Bills put on an incredible performance in which they scored a touchdown on seven straight possessions.

Allen averaged over 12 yards per pass in this game, and the Bills only had one play that went for negative yardage; a kneel down to end the game. If the Bills can destroy the third-ranked scoring defense of the New England Patriots in this manner, it’s hard to imagine how any of the remaining NFL defenses will slow them down.

The Bills Have a Tall Task Ahead of Them

Buffalo looked impressive in the first round of the NFL playoffs, but the Kansas City Chiefs also dominated their opponent, the Pittsburgh Steelers. QB Patrick Mahomes threw for 404 yards and five touchdowns against the Steelers and rushed for another 29 yards.

However, the Steelers defense allowed the 22nd most points per game this season, and the offense struggled all year, averaging only 20.2 points per game.

Buffalo’s defense, however, ranks first in total yards, passing yards, and points allowed. The Bills offense also scores 28.4 points per game. The Bills match up against the Chiefs much better than the Steelers, and they defeated Kansas City earlier this season, 38-20.

Reviewing Buffalo’s Odds To Make It to the Super Bowl

Josh Allen and the Bills played a perfect game on offense against the Patriots, and I think they’ll need to do that again to keep up with a Chiefs offense that just scored five touchdowns in less than 12 minutes of game time against the Steelers.

This game has a good shot at being a shootout.
