Reigning IBF and WBO super lightweight champion Katie Taylor will put her titles against the current IBO super lightweight champion Flora Pili on Saturday at Croke Park in Dublin. Additionally, the vacant WBC super lightweight title will also be on the line in this match.

As the defending champion with two titles and with her extensive championship experience, Taylor heads into the match as the heavy betting favorite with -1250 boxing odds, while Pili, despite being the undefeated boxer, will be the overwhelming underdog with +800 odds. A draw result has odds of +2000.

Kate Taylor vs. Flora Pili: Prediction

With the wealth of championship experience on her side, I predict a decision win for Taylor over Pili. This valuable experience will likely win her the majority of the exchanges, especially in the middle to latter rounds, where both of them will slow down.

Taylor has developed her fighting style to be a well-rounded one, as she can initiate the action with her aggressiveness and volume. But she can also be the counterpuncher and snipe her opponents with stiff counters.

At 40, this seems to be her retirement fight because it will be a held in front of her home fans in Dublin. With this in mind, I’m 100% sure she’ll go out with a bang and showcase one of her best performances of her career at home.

Katie Taylor’s Recent Fight Results

Taylor is a two-division boxing world champion. In her last five fights, she recorded four wins, with victories over Karen Elizabeth Carabajal, Chantelle Cameron (in their rematch), and Amanda Serrano (twice), while her lone loss in this period was to Cameron (in their first meeting).

Flora Pili’s Recent Fight Results

Pili made her pro debut in 2019. Since then, she has won all her fights inside the ring, and her last five wins were against Iona Fecioru, Djemilla Gontaruk, Diana Rodriguez, Ana Maria Lozano, and Jelena Janicijevic.
