Patrick Mahomes is proving once again he’s the best player in the league. NFL odds have Mahomes as the clear frontrunner for the 2020 MVP Award. BetMGM has all the NFL betting action you need, including futures like MVP odds, weekly betting lines, and live sports betting.
NFL MVP Odds
Football betting involves a sense of risk. But week after week, Mahomes is making the odds to win the NFL MVP a safer bet.
Entering Week 12, he has -118 odds on being named the MVP. Russell Wilson, who had an electric start to the season and who many thought was finally going to be in serious consideration for the MVP award, has the second-best odds at +350.
Aaron Rodgers follows at +550, Kyler Murray is +1200 and Ben Roethlisberger rounds out the top five at +2000.
Mahomes Pulling Away

Mahomes has been sensational in November. He threw for 416 yards and five touchdowns against the New York Jets, 372 yards and four touchdowns against Carolina, and 348 yards and two touchdowns against Las Vegas, the last featuring a game-winning 22-yarder to Travis Kelce with 28 seconds remaining.
In 10 games this year, he’s thrown for 3,035 yards, 27 touchdowns, and two interceptions. Last year, he passed for 4,031 yards, 26 touchdowns, and five interceptions.
Mahomes won the MVP award in 2018, where he threw for 5,097 yards, 50 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions.
Wilson, Rodgers Slipping

One of the top storylines at the start of this season was Wilson never before receiving an MVP vote. With 925 yards passing and 14 touchdowns in the first three games, the Seattle quarterback looked to be on a mission to earn those votes.
But as Mahomes is playing his hottest ball this year, Wilson has cooled off. In the last three games, Wilson is averaging 278.3 passing yards per game with just a 4:4 touchdown-to-interception ratio.
Rodgers, who has the third-best NFL MVP betting odds, is also not playing the same level of football as he was in September. To be clear, he’s still having a tremendous season. It’s just not at MVP-level.
At the start of this season, Rodgers seemed extra motivated. Green Bay drafting quarterback Jordan Love in the first round may have something to do with that. The Packers’ offense was rolling in September, scoring 40.6 points per game. Rodgers had a 9:0 touchdown-to-interception ratio in those three games.
Rodgers has played well in November, throwing for more than 300 yards in three of the four games. He has 12 touchdown passes to just two interceptions this month. Pretty good, but not good enough to rival Mahomes’ pursuit of another MVP award.
Can Mahomes Finish Strong?
The Associated Press presents the NFL MVP Award. It’s voted on at the end of the regular season and before the playoffs.
Mahomes can solidify himself as the best player in the NFL with strong performances in the final six regular-season games.

- Tampa Bay - No. 16
- Denver - No. 9

- LA Chargers - No. 12
