The stakes are high as the Los Angeles Rams travel to take on the Baltimore Ravens in a game with significant playoff implications.

According to the latest NFL odds, the Rams (-3.5) are road favorites. Los Angeles enters this matchup on a four-game winning streak, while Baltimore is trending in the opposite direction with four straight losses.

Game Information:

Date: Sunday, Jan 2nd

Time: 1:00 P.M. EST

Venue: M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, MD

Participants: Los Angeles Rams and Baltimore Ravens

So, how will the Rams offense fare against a banged-up Baltimore secondary?

Los Angeles Rams Offensive Weapons

The Rams enter Week 17 with the sixth-ranked scoring offense that averages 27.7 points per game. During their recent winning streak, Los Angeles has improved upon this, averaging 29.25 points over their last four games. The Rams have several vital offensive weapons that they may lean on this week.

Quarterback Matthew Stafford has enjoyed the change of scenery in his first season with Los Angeles. Stafford has thrown for 4,339 yards this season (fourth in the league) and 36 touchdowns (second in the league). He will be looking to bounce back from a three-interception performance in Week 16.

The Rams’ top receiver, Cooper Kupp, has had an outstanding season and is one of the NFL’s premier receiving threats. Kupp leads the league in receptions, receiving yards, and touchdowns. He has had 90 yards or better in every game but one.

RB Sony Michel has averaged just under 106 rushing yards per game in the previous four weeks, with two total touchdowns. He will look to keep it rolling in Week 17 against the Ravens, who allow the fewest rushing yards in the league.

Baltimore Ravens Defense

The Ravens have endured several injuries this season. The injury toll appears to be catching up with them as they have struggled in recent weeks.

Critical injuries to Marcus Peters and Marlon Humphrey in the secondary have led to significant struggles in defending the pass. Baltimore is ranked last in pass defense, allowing over 280.5 yards per game.

Baltimore is ranked 20th in scoring defense, allowing 23.7 points per game. However, the defense has struggled recently. Baltimore allowed 31 points to the Green Bay Packers in Week 15 and 41 points to the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 16. In their past three games, they’ve given up an average of 32 points.

A struggling Baltimore defensive unit will have their work cut out against the Rams high octane offense.

Rams vs. Ravens

These teams appear headed in opposite directions, as the Rams look to secure a higher seed in the NFC playoffs while the Ravens scramble to stay in the AFC playoff picture.

The Los Angeles Rams look to put up points this week based on recent and season-long trends.
