  • The 2026 Miami Open runs from March 18-29.
  • The Miami Open is the second of nine annual ATP Masters 1000 tournaments.
  • Each singles champion will receive more than $1 million.

The American sports calendar explodes in late March. College basketball is everywhere, spring sports are heating up, and golf is moving toward some of its biggest events.

It’s easy to overlook tennis, which plays one of its biggest U.S. events of the year during this period – the Miami Open. On the heels of last week’s major draw at Indian Wells, most of the tours’ best players will fly east from California to Florida for another major purse in Miami.

This is a joint ATP/WTA event, meaning separate tournaments are happening at the same time and in the same stadium for both the men’s and women’s tours. Each singles draw will feature 96 players in the main event.

The high-level drama is primarily on the men’s draw this month, as World No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz lost in the Indian Wells semifinals last week to Daniil Medvedev. Alcaraz’s chief rival Jannik Sinner then won his first Indian Wells title in the championship round.

Fans of tennis betting will be watching closely as Sinner, Alcaraz, and other primary challengers begin another march toward a significant tour title. That title comes with a major cash prize, as each tour is playing for an equal prize purse of $9,415,725.
