The MLB season is nearly a week old and the American League Pennant race should be highly competitive with several teams reshaping their rosters.
The Texas Rangers have experienced the biggest surge from opening MLB odds of +40000 to their current +4000. Meanwhile, the Toronto Blue Jays are now the favorites to capture the AL Pennant, with their odds improving from +650 to +350.
Conversely, the Oakland A’s, clearly rebuilding and plagued by injuries to their pitching staff, have seen their pennant chances plummet from +3000 to +10000.
At +500 odds, the Chicago White Sox have garnered the most attention with MLB betting, sitting first in both ticket and handle percentages at 19% and 21.3%, respectively.
What particularly leaps out is the love shown for the Detroit Tigers.
Sitting at +2500, Detroit holds the second-highest ticket percentage and the third-highest handle percentage. The additions of Javier Baez and Austin Meadows, as well as the debut season of 2020 first overall pick Spencer Torkelson, have baseball fans believing that the Tigers can make a serious run.

Of note, as odds on favorites, the Blue Jays rank second in handle percentage and third in ticket percentage.
