Blue Jays vs. Dodgers Player Props for World Series Game 4

All eyes are on Shohei Ohtani for Game 4 of the World Series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Toronto Blue Jays at 8 p.m. ET on Tuesday at Dodger Stadium on FOX.

Ohtani continues to do things nobody has ever seen before. In Mondayโ€™s Game 3 win, Ohtani became the first player to reach base nine times in postseason history. He hit two home runs and two doubles while earning five walks in an 18-inning marathon.

Well, now Ohtani will take the mound to try and give the Dodgers a 3-1 series lead in the Fall Classic. The last time he pitched, Ohtani clubbed three home runs as a batter.

What will he do in tonightโ€™s Game 4?

Blue Jays vs. Dodgers Players Props: Game 4 World Series

  • Shohei Ohtani under 2.5 hits, runs & RBIs (-135)
  • Shohei Ohtani over 0.5 stolen bases (+450)

Shohei Ohtani Under 2.5 Hits, Runs, and RBIs

You might question why Iโ€™d take an under on Ohtani, and honestly, Iโ€™m not so sure of it myself.

However, this angle is more about how the Blue Jays might attack him.

With the way that Ohtani is swinging the bat, the Blue Jays may intentionally walk him and make someone else beat them. Thatโ€™s what they did after his start in Game 3, sending him to first base with four different intentional walks and one four-pitch free pass.

If thatโ€™s the approach, I think there is some value in taking an under on Ohtaniโ€™s inflated props.

Ballpark Palโ€™s model projects 0.91 hits, 0.71 runs, and 0.60 RBIs for Ohtani on Tuesday.

Shohei Ohtani Over 0.5 Stolen Bases

This player prop prediction is mainly based on vibes. Ohtani has done it all this postseason, but he only has one stolen base thus far.

If the Blue Jays decide to walk Ohtani a bit more in Game 4, he will have an opportunity to swipe second base. That was the case on Monday when he was caught stealing in the ninth inning.

When Ohtani sets his mind to something, he usually accomplishes it. Thatโ€™s how he became the first player to join the 50-50 club last year, recording 54 home runs and 59 stolen bases.

He only finished with 20 swipes this season, but I could see him itching to do something if Toronto takes the bat out of his hands.
