The World Series is tied heading into Monday’s pivotal Game 3 between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Toronto Blue Jays at 8 p.m. ET at Dodger Stadium on FOX.
Los Angeles earned a 5-1 win in Game 2, thanks to a complete game from Yoshinobu Yamamoto. It marked the first complete game in the World Series since Johnny Cueto threw one for the Kansas City Royals in 2015.
Will Smith and Max Muncy both homered in the win for the Dodgers.
Los Angeles is a solid favorite to win at home on Monday, giving the ball to Tyler Glasnow. Max Scherzer will get the nod for Toronto.
Blue Jays vs. Dodgers Prediction for Game 3

Based on the initial MLB betting lines, my Blue Jays vs. Dodgers prediction is that Los Angeles will get off to a fast start in Game 3 on Monday.
There are multiple ways to back an early lead for the Dodgers. I like a same-game parlay of their F5 moneyline and over 3.5 total runs in the first five innings. That parlay provides a plus-money option for this angle.
I also like the Dodgers’ odds to score the first run of the game. They are -110 to do so while the Blue Jays are -115.
The logic behind a fast start by the Dodgers revolves around Scherzer. Despite his most recent outing, I think it’s best to fade him in this spot.
Scherzer held the Seattle Mariners to two runs on three hits in 5 2/3 innings during his start in the ALCS. It was a surprising performance based on his form to end the regular season, as he allowed four or more runs in five of his final six starts.
I’m guessing the Dodgers will find more success off Scherzer in Game 3, which is why his prop markets reflect that. He has an over/under of 11.5 for his outs prop and 2.5 for his earned runs allowed market.
Rather than touch either of those markets, I prefer the Dodgers’ chances of grabbing an early lead.
