Milwaukee hasn’t won a playoff series since 2018, a drought they can end with a win on Thursday.

According to the initial MLB betting lines, I like Milwaukee’s moneyline (-115) as my favorite Brewers vs. Cubs prediction for Game 4 of the NLDS.
The Brewers haven’t announced their starter for Game 4, but the answer seems so obvious. They should trust their best pitcher with a chance to win their first postseason series in seven years.
Milwaukee might want to save Freddy Peralta for Game 1 of the NLCS, but I’m not sure a team in this situation can afford to take such chances. Peralta is the Brewers’ best hope of celebrating in the clubhouse tonight.
Peralta went 17-6 with a 2.70 ERA in 33 starts this season, recording 204 strikeouts in 176 2/3 innings of work. He held the Cubs to two runs on four hits across 5 2/3 innings during a Game 1 victory. He hasn’t allowed more than two runs in a start since Sept. 10.
I’ll be interested in Peralta’s pitching props, assuming he’s announced as a starter at some point today. The weather suggests a low-scoring matchup, so there could be value in making bets with that in mind after 29 runs were scored in the first three games.
