Who Will Hit a Home Run Today?
I’m predicting San Francisco Giants left fielder Heliot Ramos will hit a home run on Tuesday night against the Kansas City Royals at Kauffman Stadium.
Ramos demonstrated his power with a home run in last night’s loss to the Royals. He now has nine homers in 62 games this season after launching 43 blasts over the last two years
The reason I like the idea of backing Ramos on Tuesday is the matchup.
Kansas City right-hander Luinder Avila has a 5.08 ERA in 18 outings, with his recent form being even worse. He’s given up eight runs across his last three starts, including a pair of home runs. Avila’s metrics are much worse against right-handed hitters as well.
Ramos offers some of the biggest pop from the right side in San Francisco’s lineup, so I’m certainly interested in his +500 value to hit a home run on Tuesday. I’d be willing to back him at +475 or better.
