The Texas Rangers have a win total of 83.5 entering the 2026 season, per the latest MLB win totals market at the BetMGM online sportsbook.

Rangers Win Total Prediction 2026

  • Pass on 83.5 wins

The current MLB odds don’t offer any value on the Rangers’ win total (83.5) for the 2026 season. I actually think this line is one of the more fair over/under totals on the board.

If you believe in the Rangers, I could see the +400 price tag on them finishing second in the American League West (behind the Seattle Mariners) as an appealing option.

Since winning the 2023 World Series, the Rangers have missed the playoffs and finished third in the AL West in back-to-back campaigns. Their pitching carried them to an 81-81 finish last year, but the lineup has room for growth in 2026.

Corey Seager, the World Series MVP during that impressive playoff run, continues to lead things on the offensive end. But for the Rangers to reach their potential, they need Wyatt Langford and Evan Carter to come through.

Carter hasn’t been able to stay on the field, playing 63 games in 2025. Langford had a bigger impact last year, finishing with a wRC+ of 118 to go along with 22 home runs and 22 stolen bases in 134 games.

If Langford has another level and Carter can stay healthy, Texas suddenly has a lineup capable of being in the mix. But it might just be enough to balance any regression from the pitching staff.

The Rangers led the majors with a 3.49 ERA, though their xERA of 4.09 suggests some overperformance. I don’t know if you can bank on Jacob deGrom making 30 starts again, which is probably why Texas felt the need to trade for left-hander MacKenzie Gore.

Because the Rangers traded a handful of prospects for Gore, it might seem like the front office expects to contend in 2026. However, he’s not a free agent until 2028. And the Seattle Mariners could easily pull away from the pack in the AL West.

Still, I wouldn’t be surprised if Texas ends up being the second-best team in the division and finishing above .500 for the first time since winning the World Series.
