Ranking Youngest MLB Managers in 2026

Washington Nationals skipper Blake Butera is the youngest active manager in Major League Baseball. He is 33 years old, making him six years younger than any other manager in the majors.

Butera, who was born on Aug. 7, 1992, was hired as the Nationals’ manager this past offseason. He became the youngest MLB manager since Frank Quilici led the Minnesota Twins at 33 years, 27 days in 1972.

Making history with his age is nothing new for Butera. In 2018, he became the youngest manager in Minor League Baseball when he was hired by Hudson Valley at 25. He went on to win championships in 2021 and 2022 and was named Carolina League Manager of the Year in both seasons.
