The battle for MLB playoff positioning continues this week, and another UFC Fight Night is set to take place.

The heavyweight bout between Curtis Blaydes and Tom Aspinall is Saturday’s main event. Aspinall has -135 UFC odds to win as of Wednesday, July 20.
Aspinall, who’s from England and is best known for his striking, is 12-2 and has won his last eight fights.
Blaydes, a striker and wrestler from the United States, is 16-3 and has won six times in his last seven outings.

The middleweight fight between Chris Curtis and Jack Hermansson is also fascinating. Both have MMA odds of -110 to win as of Wednesday.
Hermansson, a Norwegian mixed martial artist, is 22-7. He’s 2-3 in his last five fights, which followed four consecutive victories.
Curtis is 29-8 entering the fight. Most recently, the American striker has bounced back with eight consecutive victories following three losses.

Houston Astros vs. Seattle Mariners

The Astros are in command of the AL West, but the Mariners are still looking to improve their MLB playoff odds with wins against their divisional foe.
As of Wednesday, the Astros were 59-32, 4.5 games behind the New York Yankees for first place in the AL. Their World Series odds were +450, and AL West odds were -10000.

The Mariners, meanwhile, were nine games behind the Astros at 51-42 following a 14-game winning streak. That was good for fourth in the AL. Their odds to win the World Series were +3500 while their division odds were +2500.
Yordan Alvarez has been pacing the Astros at the plate, as he had the third-best AL MVP odds at +1100. He was leading the team with 26 home runs and a .306 batting average. Kyle Tucker, whose AL MVP odds were +12500, had a team-best 62 RBIs.
Julio Rodriguez, fresh off an impressive performance at the Home Run Derby, was leading Seattle with 52 RBIs and had AL MVP odds of +15000. Eugenio Suarez (16 homers) and Ty France (.308 batting average) have provided key at-bats.

Cleveland Guardians vs. Chicago White Sox

The Guardians and White Sox are both scraping to rise up the AL Central standings.
On Wednesday, the Guardians were 46-44 after winning three straight prior to the All-Star break. They were two games away from the Minnesota Twins (50-44). Cleveland’s odds to win the World Series were +10000 and their division odds were +450.

Despite being lower in the standings, the White Sox had better AL Central odds (+130) and World Series odds (+4000) than Cleveland. The White Sox were 46-46, just a game back.
Jose Ramirez has been providing power for the Guardians’ lineup. He had a team-high 19 home runs and 75 RBIs and had AL MVP odds of +3500. Andres Gimenez was leading Cleveland with a .296 batting average.
Luis Robert, with AL MVP odds of +20000, was fueling the White Sox’s lineup with 54 RBIs and 12 homers. Tim Anderson, who had the same MVP odds, had a team-best .310 batting average.
