White Sox Win Total Prediction 2026

  • Lean over 67.5 wins

Based on the updated MLB odds, I lean toward the over on the White Sox’s win total for the 2026 season.

It’s amazing how much can change in one year. Last spring, the White Sox had a preseason win total of 54.5 after posting the worst record in baseball (41-121) in 2024.

In 2025, the White Sox showed more promising signs early in their rebuild, en route to winning 60 games. They haven’t won more than 61 games since 2022, but this market suggests that will change in 2026.

When it comes to younger rosters, I tend to think they figure it out earlier than people expect more often than not. While I don’t think they are ready to compete in a weak division this year, the White Sox shouldn’t be as much of a pushover either.

Projections agree with me, too. PECOTA has the White Sox winning 69 games, though Baseball Prospectus recently admitted that the system has been overly optimistic about this team over the past 10 years. As such, maybe you will believe FanGraphs’ projection of 68.6 wins instead.

The White Sox made a few notable additions this offseason. They signed power-hitting Munetaka Murakami from Nippon Professional Baseball. Chicago also landed Austin Hays with the promise of a regular role as a corner outfielder.

On the pitching side, the White Sox brought in starters Anthony Kay and Eric Fedde. They also made multiple additions to the bullpen, including the signing of closer Seranthony Domínguez, who is a candidate to be flipped at the deadline.

The White Sox’s overall outlook will still be determined by their young core of Kyle Teel and Colson Montgomery, but it’s nice to see them make moves on the margins to field a competent baseball team.
