Division rivals collide on Monday night in a pivotal NFC West showdown with the Rams at 49ers. After a rough Week 9, both teams will look to get back in the win column at a crucial point in the season.
The latest NFL betting odds have the Rams (-4) as road favorites and at -190 to win the game outright on the money line. The over/under currently sits at 49.5.

Can The Rams (-4) Cover the Spread?

The Rams will be in a good position to get back on track, in large part due to their struggling opponents. The San Francisco 49ers enter Week 10 after losing five of their last six games and struggling to find consistency on either side of the ball.
Another alarming trend for the 49ers is their recent play at home. After losing to Arizona, the Niners dropped to 0-4 at Levi Stadium and have now lost eight straight home games dating back to last season.
The Rams are a spotless 4-0 on the road this season with a 14 point average margin of victory in those games.
The Rams are #1 in total yards on offense and #5 in scoring on the season. This top-flight offense will be tough for a reeling San Francisco team to keep up with for four quarters.
With most trends favoring the Rams, I believe they can cover the 4 point spread. Therefore, consider the Rams (-4) as a possible bet for Monday night.
Will the Over (49.5) Hit?
Over/Unders are tough to predict in divisional games. Unfortunately, both of these offenses struggled to get on track in Week 9, which doesn’t bode well for this relatively high number.
With that said, I believe last Sunday was an aberration for the Rams offense and that they will return to form in Week 10. The Rams have shown all season that they are capable of putting up big numbers.
The 49er’s offense ranges more towards the middle of the pack, averaging 23 points per game, but they are far from anemic. Elite receiving threats Deebo Samuel and George Kittle mean San Francisco can always get big chunk plays in a hurry.
This could go either way, but I would lean more towards the over because of both teams’ significant play threats.
