Jacksonville State and UAB had the college football world to themselves when the two teams squared off Wednesday night of Week 1 on ESPN. The college football betting odds said to expect a decently close game between the FCS and FBS programs with UAB opening as a 14.5-point favorite on BetMGM.
That didn’t exactly happen, with UAB winning 31-0. What did happen was the game being the most bet on FCS-related game in September on BetMGM, both in total tickets and total handle.
JSU made up for its tough showing the next week when the Gamecocks, a 27-point underdog, beat Florida State in dramatic fashion. The matchup was also one of the more bet on FCS-related games.
