Cavaliers vs. Knicks Player Props: Eastern Conference Finals Game 1

BetMGM OfferBetting Promos

The New York Knicks have had more than a week off when the Cleveland Cavaliers come to town for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals. Tipoff is 8 p.m. ET on Tuesday at Madison Square Garden in New York.

Will the team with fresher legs have the advantage in the opener? Check out my Cavaliers vs. Knicks player props based on the latest NBA odds:

Cavaliers vs. Pistons Player Props: Game 1 on May 19

  • Donovan Mitchell under 3.5 assists (+115)
  • Evan Mobley under 12.5 rebounds + assists (-132)

Donovan Mitchell Player Prop: Under 3.5 Assists

Cleveland guard Donovan Mitchell finished with eight assists in a Game 7 win over the Detroit Pistons, marking his most dimes in a game this postseason. That’s caused his assist market to adjust a bit, with a plus-money price now available on the under.

However, his underlying passing metrics suggest that shouldn’t be the case.

Mitchell finished with seven potential assists and 30 passes. That’s right in line with his playoff numbers, as he’s averaged 3.3 assists on 7.4 potential dimes and 32.5 passes per contest. Mitchell has only cleared this assist line four times in 14 playoff games.

Between the market adjustment and the fact that the Knicks should roll, I like the value in a plus-money under for Mitchell’s assist prop.

Best bet: Donovan Mitchell under 3.5 assists (+115)

Evan Mobley Player Prop: Under 12.5 rebounds + assists

I’m fading another Cleveland player coming off a strong showing two days ago. Cavaliers center Evan Mobley finished with 21 points, 12 rebounds, and six assists in what might have been his best game this postseason.

But Mobley didn’t perform as well against the Knicks in the regular season. In three head-to-head meetings, Mobley averaged 16 points, eight rebounds, and 2.3 assists per contest. He failed to clear this rebounds + assists line in all three matchups.

So far this postseason, Mobley is averaging eight rebounds (15.7 chances) and 4.1 assists (6.5 potentials). His averages drop to 7.5 rebounds and four assists in six defeats, which is why I like the value of another under on Tuesday.

Best bet: Evan Mobley under 12.5 rebounds + assists (-132)
