Donovan Mitchell Player Prop: Under 3.5 Assists

I’m fading Donovan Mitchell as a passer following his 43-point performance in Game 4. Although his scoring impact helped even the series at 2-2, Mitchell finished with just two assists on four potential dimes and 30 passes.

Mitchell hasn’t dished more than three dimes in any of Cleveland’s five losses this postseason. Not only are the Pistons 4.5-point favorites in a decisive Game 5, but they also surrender the fewest assists in the league. I like the under at -115 or better.

Best bet: Donovan Mitchell under 3.5 assists (-105)

Ausar Thompson Player Prop: Over 6.5 Rebounds

Backing the over on Ausar Thompson’s rebound line is counting on a bounce-back performance from the Pistons wing. He finished with four rebounds on eight chances in Game 4.

But a return home should help get Thompson back on track. He’s averaging 8.2 rebounds on 13 chances in six home playoff games, clearing this line five times. Thompson tallied 15 total boards in the first two games of this Round 2 matchup.

As long as this line is at 6.5, I like the over as a way to back a talented athlete.
