Heat vs. Cavaliers Prediction: NBA Playoffs Preview for Game 2

  • Get expert betting predictions and analysis for Heat vs. Cavaliers.
  • Cleveland is -5000 to win this Round 1 matchup.
  • The Cavaliers are 12.5-point favorites for Wednesdayโ€™s Game 2.

Following a 21-point victory in the playoff opener, the top-seeded Cleveland Cavaliers will host the Miami Heat at 7:30 p.m. ET on Wednesday at Rocket Arena on NBA TV.

The Cavs scored 34 points in the fourth quarter to secure a 121-100 victory over the Heat in Sundayโ€™s Game 1. Donovan Mitchell led the team with 30 points, followed by Ty Jerome with 28 and Darius Garland with 27.

Will Miami put up more of a fight after a couple of days off?

Here’s a look at the latest NBA betting odds for the Heat vs. Cavaliers and my prediction ahead of Wednesdayโ€™s Game 2:

Heat vs. Cavaliers Odds: Game 2

Cavaliers series price: -5000

Heat vs. Cavaliers Prediction: Game 2 Best Bet

Based on the updated NBA betting lines, I like over 5.5 rebounds (+105) for Miami forward Andrew Wiggins as my best bet for Wednesdayโ€™s Game 2 against Cleveland.

Although the Cavs utilize a two-big lineup, they ranked 22nd in defensive rebounding rate during the regular season. This represents the fifth-largest drop from last season and follows their posting of the lowest rebounding rate in last yearโ€™s conference semifinals.

The Cavaliers had a +5 rebound advantage over a fatigued Miami team on Sunday, although Wiggins collected six boards. He finished with five defensive rebounds and one offensive rebound.

Wiggins has been using his athleticism more since the regular season ended. He grabbed 17 rebounds in two play-in victories for the Heat last week.

As long as this over is offered at plus-money, Iโ€™m comfortable riding with Wiggins to sustain his recent form.

Game 2 prediction: Andrew Wiggins over 5.5 rebounds (+105)
