On Feb. 3, the Clippers announced that they were trading 2017 NBA MVP James Harden to the Cavaliers in exchange for Darius Garland and a 2026 second-round pick.

For NBA fans, a Harden trade is a quite familiar event by now. The Beard, who will turn 37 this calendar year, has forced his way off more teams than virtually any major player in NBA history.

As of the 2025-26 season, James Harden has earned approximately $411.6 million from his NBA contracts.

All this team movement hasn’t hurt Harden’s long-term earnings. If anything, the additional negotiating windows created by his constant trade demands have maximized his earnings.
