The Cleveland Cavaliers hope a return home will help get them back on track against the New York Knicks in the Eastern Conference finals. The Cavs are down 2-0 entering Game 3 at 8 p.m. ET on Saturday at Rocket Arena in Cleveland on ABC.
Cleveland is a 2.5-point favorite per the latest NBA odds, which I agree with as I make my Knicks vs. Cavaliers prediction.

I’m banking on the Cavaliers to get on the scoreboard by taking care of business as 2.5-point favorites in Game 3. I’d also be willing to take their moneyline.
The Cavs have been in this position before. In Round 2, they were down 2-0 to the No. 1 seed Detroit Pistons before rattling off three straight wins. They won’t be bothered by a 2-0 deficit after a pair of competitive losses in New York.
Honestly, there is an argument that this series should be tied. Cleveland led by as many as 22 in Game 1 before a late rally by New York in an overtime thriller. The Cavs have gotten good looks in their half-court offense, but they’ve underperformed their shot quality.
A return to Cleveland should help produce better offensive results. The Cavs have been much better in Rocket Arena this postseason. They are 6-1 straight up and 5-2 against the spread when playing at home.
The Knicks, meanwhile, are due for a letdown. They’ve won nine straight games, going 8-1 ATS over that span. They were favored in all but one game during that stretch.
It’s noteworthy that New York is an underdog on Saturday. And I’m taking the hint.
