Injuries have become more prevalent in the modern NBA for a variety of reasons that are too long to list.

The result is more games missed by star players, and thatโ€™s what ultimately matters. But who are the most injured teams in the league this season?

To answer that question, Spotrac has an injured list tracker based on contract value missed due to injury. This list counts days missed rather than games, but it provides a useful starting point for assessing which teams are dealing with the most significant injuries.

Most Injured NBA Teams 2025-26

TeamTotal Cash Lost
Pacers$34,334,866
Trail Blazers$32,908,933
Mavericks$32,183,412
Pelicans$28,815,844
Heat$26,248,840
Celtics$25,178,530
Cavaliers$23,616,815
Hornets$23,350,750
76ers$22,747,425

Which NBA Team Has Dealt With the Most Injuries in 2025-26?

According to Spotracโ€™s injured list tracker, the Indiana Pacers have dealt with the most injuries during the 2025-26 season. Theyโ€™ve lost $34,334,866 of total cash this season due to player injuries.

Tyrese Haliburton, who suffered an Achilles injury in Game 7 of the 2025 NBA Finals, has been out all year for the Pacers. Heโ€™s making $45,550,512 this season.

In addition, Obi Toppin, Aaron Nesmith, Benedict Mathurin, T.J. McConnell, Ben Sheppard, Johnny Furphy, and Kam Jones have all missed double-digit games for the Pacers this season.

That said, itโ€™s important to note that Spotracโ€™s numbers are based on days missed and not games missed. If it were based on missed games, the Dallas Mavericks would have a case for being the most-injured team in the NBA.

Kyrie Irving has been out with a torn ACL since last March. Anthony Davis has had three different IR stints this season. Dereck Lively III, Daniel Gafford, and Dante Exum have all missed double-digit contests.

According to the BBall Indexโ€™s injury chart, the Mavs were the most injured team in the NBA last year based on total LEBRON WAR missed. The 76ers, who were second on that list, led Spotracโ€™s chart for total cash missed due to player injuries in 2024-25.

So, itโ€™s fair to suggest that there are multiple ways to account for which teams are the most injured in the NBA. But it should come as no surprise to see the Pacers and Mavericks on top of most lists so far in 2025-26.
