- The Portland Trail Blazers have the No. 7 pick in the NBA Draft.
- Cody Williams is the betting favorite at +400 to go No. 7 overall.
The Portland Trail Blazers’ rebuild is still in its early stages.
After trading away Damian Lillard and drafting his replacement Scoot Henderson last offseason, the Trail Blazers went 21-61 to miss the playoffs for the third consecutive year.
Portland could go in various ways with its first-round pick at the No. 7 spot, including trading up or down.Â
Here is what the latest NBA Draft odds at the online sportsbook say about the No. 7 pick:

Prediction for No. 7 Pick: Cody Williams (+400)
- Pick originally made at +600 odds on June 20
The Portland Trail Blazers have been linked to several players, which makes sense, given their flexibility. They need everything.
Colorado’s Cody Williams has worked out for every team in the top 10 except the Houston Rockets.
I might as well link two of the biggest unknowns in the draft, especially at these odds.
Of note, Williams’ NBA betting value has gone from +600 to +400 since I placed this bet last week.
Williams remains my No. 5 pick odds prediction as a +900 flier to the Detroit Pistons, but he also makes a lot of sense in Portland. He is projected to go No. 7 in the latest mock drafts at Bleacher Report and The Athletic.
The younger brother of Oklahoma City’s Jalen Williams is an athletic wing with plenty of two-way potential.
The Blazers should seriously consider Williams if he’s available when they are on the clock.
NBA Betting Splits: No. 7 Pick
Williams might be the favorite in this market, but Zach Edey is the biggest liability after earning 28.6% of bets and 40.8% of the handle to be the No. 7 pick.
