Gilles Gallant’s Guide to NBA Finals Betting

Every bettor knows what time it is when the calendar hits June. The NBA Finals is one of the last big events to handicap before we hit the long summer dry spell.

This year’s crop of NBA Finals odds is particularly tricky. Golden State has an aging core, fused with a younger group of scorers like Jordan Poole and Andrew Wiggins. Sometimes they look as dynamic as ever; often, they look apathetic, creaky and disinterested.

This is the worst Warriors team to play for a championship. Is the dynastic lineage enough to lay the juice for such a team?

In the east, Boston serves as an interesting foil to the Warriors. The Celtics are a dynastic franchise, but they field a team with deep potential and shallow resumes.

When it comes to NBA Championship odds, the Celtics’ side is clearly the more valuable number. But is anyone ever comfortable betting against the Warriors in this spot?

And we’re just scratching the surface here. We haven’t even talked about Game 1 NBA odds, prop bets, NBA Finals MVP odds or anything else.

Fortunately, Gilles Gallant from FTN Bets stopped by BetMGM Tonight and spent 13 minutes analyzing the NBA Finals from every possible angle.
