Who Will Win the West in the NBA?

Based on the latest NBA betting lines, Oklahoma City is expected to win the Western Conference finals in 2026. The Thunder are +135 to defend their throne in the West.

There hasnโ€™t been a back-to-back winner in the West since the Golden State Warriors accomplished the feat five times in a row between 2015-19. However, Oklahoma City is well-positioned to end that drought.

The Thunder have been the No. 1 seed in the West for two consecutive seasons, winning 57 games in the 2023-24 campaign and 68 games in the 2024-25 season. Their core is made up of young stars who havenโ€™t even reached their prime.

From a betting perspective, itโ€™s more interesting to time the market for the best price on the Thunder. They are unlikely to have as good a price as their opening +475 value this time last summer (before moving to +300 by opening night), but they werenโ€™t trading at minus-odds until March of last season.

Oklahoma Cityโ€™s odds to win the West in 2024-25:

  • June: +475
  • July: +400
  • October: +340
  • November: +250
  • December: +260
  • January: +170
  • February: +115
  • March: -115
  • April: -140
  • Round 1: -140
  • Round 2: -225
  • Conference finals: -335
